Increasing College Opportunity: #ReachHigher

On Friday May 2 at the University of Texas, First Lady Michelle Obama will speak about this initiative and the importance of pursuing and completing education beyond high school, whether it is a two or four year institution. The Office of Postsecondary Education is encouraging everyone to wear their college gear—sweat shirt, hat, whatever you have—on Friday in support of this effort to inspire youth to consider applying to college.

PARCC Field Testing is Complete

The variety of comments coming forth so far indicate that the PARCC field test is serving its purpose. While no data or scores will be released, students are getting an idea of what PARCC would be like and teachers are getting an idea of what it would be like to administer this next-generation exam.
